AIR 2000
With the decline in on-board duty free sales of alcohol and tobacco, Air 2000 wanted to test other retail opportunities.
We were asked to put together a range of merchandise for an in-flight mail order leaflet. We did all of the negotiations and purchasing as well as making all of the arrangements for the handling and dispatch of the merchandise from our mailing house.
The leaflets were distributed by Air 2000 over a 3 month period with the in-flight magazine.
Air 2000 invited us to submit ideas and designs for merchandise that could be sold through the duty free magazine as retail items.
This resulted in two items being chosen and worked up into finished items and stocked on board the aircraft.
Both items have proved to be very successful and have been listed again for ’97.
AIR 2000 CORPORATE GIFTS
Air 2000 also asked us to supply corporate gifts for press flights. These have included engraved pens, T-shirts and baseball caps, as well as our standard duty free items.
Amerada
Amerada Hess has used us for the regular supply of promotional merchandise ranging from T-shirts, sweat shirts and baseball caps, through to some more unusual items as shown opposite.
Amerada sponsor the cycle Proficiency test in the West Country. So we produced a range of reflective stickers that were given out to children involved with the test.
Safety and the problems associated with carbon monoxide is an area that Amerada wanted to address, so we worked with a manufacturer to produce a specially branded carbon monoxide detector that was sold at cost to customers and also offered as a free gift to people subscribing to their service.
The third item pictured was for one of their corporate race days. They required an identity tag to let people in and out of the enclosure at Ascot but they also required it to have a purpose after the event, so we combined a simple keyring with a cord attachment to affix to your button hole or binoculars.

Esso
As a spin-off from The National Trust sun shades, we were approached by Esso for a costing on producing 100,000 car sun shades. We were in competition with 2 – 3 other large UK sourcing companies.
Being able to by at “trade” combined with low overheads and operating costs, meant that we were able to offer the best price on this promotion and won the order.

The Guildford Flames Ice Hockey Team
The Guildford Flames approached us to supply small quantities of a wide range of branded merchandise to sell in their team shop. The range included many different items from window stickers and cufflinks through to umbrellas and bags.
